SmartDukan ("we", "our", "us") provides a mobile application that helps shop owners manage inventory, billing, purchases, customers and related business records. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

2. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information when you use SmartDukan:

• Account information you provide, such as your name, email address and phone number.
• Shop data you enter, including products, sales, purchases, customer records and staff details.
• Device and usage information, such as app version, device type and general usage patterns, used to improve reliability and performance.

Payment Alerts (optional, Android)

If a shop turns on Payment Alerts and you allow Notification access for SmartDukan in your phone's settings, the app looks at notifications only from supported payment apps (PhonePe, Google Pay, Paytm and BharatPe). Notifications from every other app, such as WhatsApp, SMS or email, are ignored and never read, stored or sent.

• From a supported payment app's "money received" notification we keep only the amount, the payment app, the time, the transaction reference and payer name when shown, and a short copy of that notification's title and text.
• This information is stored against your shop and is visible only to people the shop owner allows.
• To speak alerts on other phones, only the amount and payment app are sent to those phones.
• A payment recorded this way is based on the notification only. It is not a confirmation from your bank or UPI provider.
• You can turn Payment Alerts off in the app, and remove notification access at any time in your phone's settings.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide, operate and maintain the SmartDukan application.
• Authenticate your account and protect it from unauthorised access.
• Improve the app's features, performance and reliability.
• Communicate with you about updates, support requests or policy changes.

4. Data Storage & Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information, including secure account login and PIN-based access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate SmartDukan, or where required by law.

6. Your Choices

You can review, update or delete your account information within the app, or by contacting us using the details on our Contact page.

7. Children's Privacy

SmartDukan is intended for business use by shop owners and staff and is not directed at children.
